The Great Wave off Kanagawa

Writer: Russell JacklinRussell Jacklin

Hokusai's Great Wave

(Mount Fuji presidary)

Crews cower lower

Deep troughs, white horses

(Mount Fuji introspective)

First drowned, then trampled

Man's impermanence

(Mount Fuji remains steadfast)

Against nature's force.

The Great Wave's power,

(Mount Fuji oblivious)

Grasps man's life, now death
